Winter is Over!

The HATS Winter Show 2010 has come to the end of its run and we’re pleased to report it was a roaring success! Thank you to all who came along or supported/contributed to the production.

Why not subscribe to our website for notices of future auditions, events and, of course, productions.

And remember that whether your ambition is to tread the boards or work backstage, HATS welcome members from all walks of life. Budding playwrights take note: we actively encourage submissions of new writing.

Finally, for those who enjoyed the soothing jazz offered up by Bicycle Thieves, keep your peekers peeled in the cafes of Edinburgh (particularly Henderson’s @ St. John’s in February) or visit their website to listen to, contact or buy them!

THE SPY WHO CAME DOWN WITH A COLD written & directed by Rob Salvin

The Spy Who Came Down With a Cold is an affectionate pastiche of the John Le Carré/Len Deighton spy novels, set in 1960s London and Berlin.  Washed-up British agent, Alan Cromwell, is seemingly demoted to a menial desk job, but in reality is being set up to work as a double agent against the East German network. Some hilarity ensues.

FEET written & directed by Gregor Shanks

Battling prescription-drug addiction and the heart-break of divorce, the increasingly irrational Doctor’s problems spiral when the entire populace awake spellbound by their feet. Can he withstand the pressures of new-found celebrity, the teasing of a flirtatious ex-wife and the temptations of a sinister PR man and the mysterious Stranger, to deliver the speech of his life? And what is he doing digging a hole on the bleakest moon of Saturn?

BICYCLE THIEVES will perform a short set of sparkling Italian-accented jazz.
